Quickline upcoming Fibre Build - Have your say!

Quickline are proposing to install three poles within Ulley and Woodall, in order to carry out the fibre build.

They have said:

"It’s important we engage properly with affected residents and parish councils which is why I’m reaching out to Harthill and Ulley parish councils for comments.

Additionally, I’ve included some information regarding what the poles mean below;
Physical infrastructure access (PIA)
To help facilitate the build, Quickline are using PIA to enable a quicker, less disruptive method installing broadband. However, it may require some work, which includes the digging of roads or pavements to install ducting, cables or the installation of new telegraph poles.
Before we start work, we survey the areas we’ll be working in as well as test, rod and rope the ducts, which are tubes that house the fibre cable. This involves making sure there are no blockages underground and if there are, we can use compressed air to unblock them.
PIA allows us to install smaller duct or cable into Openreach’s existing ducting and to attach cables on Openreach’s existing poles.
Using PIA enables us to build and expand the fibre network in far quicker timescales, with less disruption and at lower costs than if building from scratch.
